The release of WordPress 3.0 removed the tag of ‘Best Blogging Platform’ from WordPress and made it to achieve the status of a complete and full fledged content management system. The project team decided to work on improving wordpress.org for the next two months. They will focus on improving the infrastructure of the plugins directory. Not just this, they will concentrate on ensuring seamless upgrades by making the best possible determinations about compatibility, and offer continual improvements to the plugin installer. Though they were not working on the launch of next version, still let’s see what new they have come out with…
After 11 million downloads of WordPress 3.0 in just 42 days, once again the WordPress project team is proud to announce the availability of WordPress 3.0.1. This is a maintenance release which has addressed 50 minor issues. The work is supported by the community of testing people who also helped to make the release of WordPress 3.0, the biggest hit releases ever. WordPress website designing has become a trend now. The WP project team is putting hard efforts to provide users the best platform to work with.
You can download the WP 3.0.1 here. You can update it automatically from the dashboard. In the dashboard, you go for update menu in your site’s admin area. So get downloading, and make sure to grab the theme of your choice while you’re at it.
